Langtang Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek is a very interesting trek, journeying through Tamang villages and settlements, rhododendron forests, and spectacular mountain views. This trail is perfect for those adventurers who would like a unique experience to see the traditional, untouched Tamang culture, customs and lifestyle. Langtang region Tamang people are descendants from Tibet and are not accustomed to many tourists. Thus the culture here is virtually untouched. The region offers full of many different species of trees, birds and butterflies. where we can see the spectacular views of Langtang Lyarung. You might even see bears, monkey, leopards, red panda or musk deer on this trek.
It is a beautiful journey in Nepal through lush forests, quaint villages, abundant wildlife and astounding views of the majestic Himalayas. The 18 days trek begins from Syabrubesi which is a Tamang village located on the banks of the Bhote Koshi River. We reach Kyanjin Gompa and then climb Kyangjin Ri the next day. From there we get magnificent views of the Langtang Lirung (7,200m/23,622ft) range. Next, we continue trekking in the beautiful Langtang Valley and reach Gosaikunda which is a place of pilgrimage for both Buddhists and Hindus. We pass by a few more lakes on our trek and cross the Laure bina Pass. Our trek in the Helambu Valley begins after crossing the pass. We continue trekking in the Helambu region for a few more days and end our remarkable journey to the mountains with a drive to Kathmandu.
