Gosaikunda Trekking is a very interesting journey through Tamang villages and rhododendron forests, spectacular mountain views. It is one of the famous pilgrimage destinations of Nepal which is situated at 4360m high from sea level. The 6 days trek begin from Dunche which headquarter of Rasuwa district and it is 132km to the northeast of Kathmandu.
The trekking in the beautiful Lake of Gosaikunda which is a place of pilgrimage for both Buddhists and Hindus. There are several Lakes which we make around in the evening which is best while it’s sunset. There is a viewpoint called Lauri Bina la viewpoint which offers a magnificent view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu. Mt. Ganesh, Mt. Kerung and Mt. Langtang many more. This place is known as a wetland of Nepal. This trail is perfect for those adventurers who would like a unique experience to see the traditional, untouched Tamang culture, customs and lifestyle. Gosaikunda region Tamang people are descendants from Tibet and are not accustomed to many tourists. Thus the culture here is virtually untouched. The region offers full of many different species of trees, birds and butterflies. where we can see the spectacular views of Langtang Lyarung. You might even see bears, monkey, leopards, red panda or musk deer on this trek. If somebody wants to do treks continue from Gosaikunda to Helambu which takes just 8 days. It’s very amazing, too.
